The NBA’s 77th regular season is set to tip off Oct. 18, and although many basketball fans are hyped to see some of their favourite players back on the court, others such as myself are intrigued to see the return of: Tunnel Fashion.
Over the past few years, the NBA tunnel has become a staple for the men’s fashion industry, some even referring to it as a concrete catwalk where athletes tend to showcase some of the most jaw-dropping pre-game outfits. PJ Tucker
Starting off with none other than Philadelphia 76ers forward PJ Tucker. Tucker has been known for his eccentric style since his Houston days, so his choice to wear a yellow oversized fur Gucci jacket ahead of the Dec. 4 game against the Heat came as no surprise.
Russell Westbrook
Next without a doubt, LA Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook. Continuing to rein as one of NBA’s style icons, Westbrook certainly had social media buzzing when he opted to wear a white oversized knitted Raf Simons sweater vest prior to the Lakers vs. Grizzlies game on Oct. 24.
James Harden
Philadelphia 76ers point guard James Harden has worn many lavish outfits in his career, but nothing was quite like the statement he made prior to the Sixers first playoff game on April. 16 against the Raptors, rocking a royal blue Louis Vuitton jacket accompanied by a checkered bunny and pink flamingo stitched on the left side.
Kyle Kuzma
Topping the list is Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma. Last year, Kuzma sent the internet into a frenzy when he showed up to the arena on Nov. 22 in a pink oversized Raf Simons sweater; which believe it or not was so big, it swallowed the NBA star’s 6 ’10 “ frame.
